What is THE MASTER’S PLAN Campaign? It is a 12-week effort to challenge our congregation to give sacrificially in order to pay (or nearly pay) for our building program in three years. Building fund gifts are to be in addition to any present support of the church budget and missions. The Communication Phase of the campaign starts this week, climaxing with a Special Event on Wednesday, August 25th . Families are encouraged to seek God’s leadership as they determine their three-year, weekly, or monthly commitments. Though people involved in the campaign will make their commitments prior to the Special Event, most families will be invited to indicate their commitments immediately after the Special Event.
Why don’t we just borrow the money for our building program? We could; however, for every $1.00 we would borrow and pay back over the next 15 to 20 years, we would have to pay back an additional $1.50 or more interest. If our people will join together in making three-year sacrificial commitments, the church will be able to save that additional $1.50 or more. Consider the fact that if the church reaches its first goal, the Victory Goal of $250,000, the church will be saving $375,000 in interest alone.
