- Will commitment cards be mailed or will Commitment Visitors call on Sunday School pupils who are not church members and others who are not church nor Sunday School members?
• Adults who are Sunday School members will be invited to participate.
• Also, others who have manifested a continuing interest in the church, though they are neither church nor Sunday School members, will be invited to participate.
- Will my commitment constitute a permanent investment?
- No doubt about it! Many people have invested in different ways in past years to bring us where we are now.
- We have the privilege of providing buildings for those who will come under the influence of this church’s life and work for decades into the future.
- George W. Carroll, a wealthy Texas philanthropist, gave several large gifts to Baptist causes. He later lost large sums of money. One day while viewing a church building he had helped to build, he was asked by a friend if he was sorry he had given his money to the church. He replied, “No, because all that I kept for myself, I lost; only what I gave away is preserved.” Surely, we need to know and believe that Christ will always honor and reward a sacrificial commitment made in His name for His work. We need to trust Him to do it in His way and in His own time.
