Loving God: Loving People

Becoming a Christian

F.A.I.T.H.

What do you think it takes for someone to get to heaven? Is it luck? Good deeds? Nothing at all? Or is there something more? The Bible has the real answer to this question. It's a matter of FAITH.

F is for FORGIVENESS
We cannot have eternal life in Heaven without God’s forgiveness.
Ephesians 1:7  “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”[1]

A is for AVAILABLE

Forgiveness is available. It is –
AVAILABLE FOR ALL
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
BUT IT IS NOT AUTOMATIC
Matthew 7:21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

I is for IMPOSSIBLE

It is impossible for God to allow sin into Heaven.
GOD IS:
·         LOVE-John 3:16
·         JUST- “For judgment is without mercy” James 2:13
MAN IS SINFUL- for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”- Romans 3:23

Question:  So how can a sinful person enter heaven, where God allows no sin?

T is for TURN

Question:  If you were driving down the road and someone asked you to turn, what would he or she be asking you to do? (Change Direction)
Turn means repent.
We TURN from something; sin and self. Luke 13:3 “but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
TURN to Someone; trust Christ only.
(The Bible tells us that) Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3
Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

H is for HEAVEN

Heaven is eternal life.
HERE-I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
HEREAFTER-John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
HOW-How can a person have God’s forgiveness, Heaven and eternal life, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord?
F.A.I.T.H- Forsaking All I Trust Him Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Understanding what we have shared, would you like to receive this forgiveness by trusting in Christ as your personal Savior and Lord?  Praying a simple prayer, you can respond to Jesus:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You arose from the grave.  I now ask You to forgive me of my sins and to save my soul.  Amen."
